I’m Fatemeh Zarei, an Iranian artist living in Shiraz. I’m a bachelor’s degree in painting. I have 36 years of experience in painting and I’ve been teaching painting for 26 years. my styles are impressionism, neo-impressionism, postmodernism, modernism, abstract and surrealism. I’m very interested in painting especially drawing portraits on different objects such as painting on; canvas, jars, tiles, wood and recently on soccer balls.

The idea of painting on the World Cup balls came to me before the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Actually, in some of the past world cups, only the flags of the countries that qualified for the World Cup or the symbols of these countries were painted on the ball, but for the first time, I have painted the portraits of the best players, best soccers, best goalkeeper and… on all the balls of the World Cup periods. No one has done this before me and there is no similar example in the world.

Also I’ve created “The first and most unique portrait collection of 21 influential and powerful women”

“A world without borders”

As you know, every year, prestigious magazines such as Forbes, Fortune, Time, Vogue, publish the list of influential and powerful women of the world, so to emphasize the role and importance of Women in Today’s World I decided for the first time in the world to paint portraits of 21 influential and inspiring women from five continents on a canvas.

The selection of these 21 people from 5 continents of the world is inspired by the Olympic flag and symbol, which is the manifestation of the unity of 5 continents. On the other hand, because we’re in 2021, I have painted the portraits of 21 powerful and influential women in the world. (21×2021)

In my opinion, football and art are the common language of nations and an important tool to bring people closer to each other, which transcends borders and connects people. football have the power to bring people together, regardless of their age, race, gender, culture, or nationality, and that is never truer than at the World Cup. It is the most played and watched sport in the world, and because of that, the World Cup is one of the most anticipated sporting events, with only the Olympics rivalling it in terms of popularity. I created this sports-artwork collection in order to emphasize the role and solidarity of humans regardless of geographical borders, race, religion and politics, according to the famous Iranian poet Saadi Shirazi, who says, “Humans are members of a whole/In creation of one essence and soul.” To present the message of peace and friendship to the world. Nothing brings people together more than a FIFA World Cup.

In one sentence, peace and human solidarity through sports(football) and art(painting) is the most important message of my collection.
